What Causes Severe Pain In The Middle Of Right Foot?

Yes, thank you. I have a haredous pain in the middle of my right foot. It is a stabbing, knife like pain, sometimes catching me off guard and I drop anything in my hands. I have sprain this ankle two times in my 78 years. Had a growth removed between my last two toes.
