What Causes Severe Pain In The Outer Ear With Migraine?

I am very healthy - last night I touched my outer ear & experience horrendous pain just touching it ! Also I devoloped a migraine which I haven t had in a very long time. Touching my outer ear cartilage ( around the bottom area if you were to put your finger in your ear ). It feel slightly hot around that area . Otherwise I feel ok :). Kim
