What Causes Severe Pain In Thighs During Menstruation?

I experience severe pain in my thighs, mostly on the right side, before and during my period. I have to take Ibuprofen to take the pain away. However lately, the pain seems to be coming on more frequently where I have to loosen my laces on my shoes etc as it feels like a tightness almost like a rubber band effect. Also my foot and leg falls asleep a lot even when I m lying down at night.
