What Causes Severe Spasms,pain And Swelling Of Right Reg?

Hello, I recently had a severe spasm down my right leg rendering me unable to move. I was admitted to hospital, had NOT scan but told nothing other than my arthritisshen up. I was released, since then my legs have swollen, pitted, red and brightness with severe pain. I can hardly sit or lie for more than a few mins. And walking with Zimmer or crutches is excruciating. I am 78yrs old, and suffer from severe arthritis in all joints. Irene
