What Causes Severe Stinging All Over The Body?

About a year ago I began having severe stinging on my skin all over my body. I made 4 visits to the ER, they put me on prednasone ech time it stoped for a few days and came back as soon as I was off the prednasone. My Dr. put me on Lyrica because I have type 2 diabetes. That didnt help either. The stinging has again gotten worse lately. There are no signs of a rash or anything. It comes from inside my body and outwards to the skin all over me. Its like all the nerve endings are firing all over my body. I use Dove soap with moisturizer and Keri Lotion after shower. Can you help? Thanks
