What Causes Sharp Burning Pain In Foot And Ankle?

good evening I am experiencing severe foot pain it started about a couple days ago but today it suddenly kicked into severe pain. on the top of my foot near my toes I have severe burning sharp pain going through the bottom of my foot like a hot poker going through my foot. Its been about 10hrs. since it really started to be severe and now its beginning to affect my ankle. the pain is so severe I can barely walk.The pain is in my toes I cannot bend on move my toes and throughout that area. It is throbbing sometimes a very sharp burning pain. what should I do
