What Causes Sharp Pain And Burning Sensation In Arms And Wrist?

I have been seeing a rheumatologist about some pain I have been having. My hands, wrists, and arms, periodically ache and burn. Sometimes I even get sharp sensations in these areas. What could this be because I am worried that it is becoming more often than never. I tested negative for rheumatiod arthritis, had a positive then negative ANA for Lupus, now he s thinking its fibromyalgia. Am I going to be in pain forever?
