What Causes Sharp Pain And Soreness In Breast Post Menstruation?

I typically have some breast tenderness (not every month) before my period and this month the tenderness is lingering - now a full week after my period has ended. I have had a few sharp breast pains as well off and on.

My last mammo was fine. I am female 55 with no signs of menopause. Still regular periods. I do take vitamin E every day.
