What Causes Sharp Pain At The Base Of Rib Cage?

I have been having this pain at the base of my rib cage in the middle .I have had two sharp pains. I bent down and the pain was sharp stabbing pain It took my breath . After the pain went away I m still tender there. Today after I ate it happened again but it was not severe. Could it be my gall bladder?
