What Causes Sharp Pain Below Left Breast?

I've been having extremely bad sharp pain below my left breast area last night and today. Then I felt like a pop feeling in that area. What causes this and should I be concerned. I have had this occuring once in a while (except for that pop). I am 28 yrs no child.
