What Causes Sharp Pain Below The Ribcage And Abdomen?

I have a sharp pain just below my right side rib cage just above my hip. If my belly button was 12 o'clock then the pain is about 2:00. If I sit still, I feel no pain, But when I move or get up it's a sharp pain.
I'm 58, with a little belly fat and drink alchol in the evenings. I thought it was a appendicitis.
