What Causes Sharp Pain In Diaphragm After Choking On A Piece Of Chicken?

Yesterday I chocked on a piece of chicken and forced it down with water while swallowing and once it cleared my throat all of a sudden I had a very sharp pain right behind my diaphragm and it has continued into today. The pain is intermittent but often, what could this mean?
