What Causes Sharp Pain In Left Side Of Body?

I am getting painful sharp pains, as if someone is running something sharp on my left side. it varies but mostly in my left side. i have a pins & needles feeling with tingling numbness & hot & cold sensations. i have constant pain sometimes. I have had a ct scan, i am vit D defficient (<4) my calcium & parathyroid hormone test is normal. the physicians & gp's think its in my head. one day i really felt i was having a stroke as my the left side of my tongue went numb. I am experiencing left eye pain as well.
