What Causes Sharp Pinching Pain At The Side Of Neck Along With Headaches?

Dear Doctor, I have a pain in the right side of my neck that feels like a pinch nerve, it comes for about to or three seconds in a sharp pinch & then goes away for about 2 or three minutes. I have been like this for the last two hours, & this morning I had also in the right side of my head a quick headache, which lasted about 15 seconds for about 6 times. I always had high cholesterol, eventhough I really watch my diet & exercise 2 to 3 times a week. The only thing that controls my cholesterol is Lipitor. do you think this is related with cholesterol?
