What Causes Sharp Pricking Pain Radiating Across The Forehead?

Have had, on several recent occasions, a very severe almost instantaneous sharp electrical shock type pain radiate across my forehead from right to left. It was very sharp and very scary. Took my breath away for a moment because of the extreme pain and suddenness. Only lasted for a moment but that was much more than enough to get my attention. What do you think?
