What Causes Shivering After Having Panadeine Forte?

My husband had Gastric sleeve surgery 3 mths ago. He saw the GP today and was given panadiene forte. Shortly after taking he started shivering and felt as tho he was freezing???? He is now in shower getting warm
Could it be that he can nottake this medication due to his 'sleeve'???
