What Causes Shooting Pain In Ears Along With Popping Sound?

I went to bed with a headache n had a slight swollen throat i started getting shooting pains in my ear the it was popping and crackling so i took some pain killers and put cotton wool in my ear it was very painful it still is but when i took the cotton wool out my ear had been bleeding also i have not lost any hearing everything has gone really loud and everyone n everything sounds robotic what could it be and what do i need to do?
