What Causes Shooting Pain In Neck Radiating Towards Head While Having Arnold–chiari Malformation?

I have pain shooting from my neck up to the right side of my head it so bad that it makes my eye and jaw hurt it doesn't last long but its frequent I've tried over the counter medications nothing seems to work I do have Arnold Chiari syndrome does that have anything to do with it.
