What Causes Shooting Pain In The Neck And Shoulder?

hi i am a 20 year old female and i found out in march of 2010 that i have a lesion on my brain but i dont have insurance to go see a neurologist. I have head pains only on the side of my head where the lesion is located everyday. The pain shoots down my neck to my shoulder. Just wondering could this lesion be deadly or even life threatening
