What Causes Shortness Of Breath And Cough After Recovering From Pneumonia?

I was diagnosed with pneumonia on Monday. Finished 5 day azythromycin yesterday. Fever has been gone since Monday. I want to start going back to the gym, is this permissible yet? I feel a little short of breath, have very slight cough, and some general phlemghy-ness.
