What Causes Shortness Of Breath With Right Sided Sharp Pain In Chest?

I am having difficulty breathing when I do any amount of exertion. Really deep breaths give me a small, sharp pain in top of chest right side. Coughing brings almost no mucus. I am asthmatic and have been giving myself 3 breathing treatments a day. They help only a little bit and not for very long, What do you think I have?
