What Causes Skin Aches With Burning Sensations Under The Eye?

i have been having pain under my left eye for about a week. The skin gets achy when not stimulated, so I need to touch it. When i do I get a burning sensation which then gets painful and then goes away until I touch it again. What can be causing this?
