What Causes Skin Itching And Blood In Stool?

Hi I have had itchy skin for the past 2 weeks....mostly my scalp, forehead , feet, hands and inner forearms..Today I noticed blood in my stools as well. was at the doc 2 days ago and am taking 3 days worth of prednisone which does not seem to be working. Whats going on?
