What Causes Skin Tags Post Hemorrhoidectomy?

Hi I had a hemmorhoidectomy about 6 weeks ago. Still have done itching which I m controlling with witch hazel or Tucks pads. Had 3 sort of skin tags that are new since surgery and wondering if they go away on their own or has the surgery made things look worse? Thanks.
