What Causes Sleeplessness While Taling Medicine For Ear Infection?

I have a perpetrated eardrum and last night i woke up in pain, at the time i thought it was only an infection until i saw my doctor today and she told me it was a perpetrated eardrum. she's given me amoxcillin capsules and i have to take one 3 times a day. My mum bought me some Ibuprofen and Paracetamol to relieve me of the pain. So im taking 9 tablets a day. But its 3 am and i haven't slept and i didn't get much sleep last night either because of the pain. But this time im not in pain, is it because of the tablets? If not, then why can't i sleep?
