What Causes Small Bumps On Scalp?

I recently went to hair salon to get a haircut. The hairdresser noticed that my hair is rather dry, so I informed her that my scalp can be quite oily and I frequently washed my hair. When she take a look at my scalp, she noticed small bumps on it. Is that an indication of a sensitive scalp? How do I overcome this problem?
