What Causes Small Lump Just Below Knee Cap Post Injury?

I was playing baseball with my brother about 2-3 years ago and he threw a fastball and it nailed me in the area a little below my kneecap there is still a small sized lump there when I feel it and it has almost a numb feeling when i rub it do you have any idea what it could be?
