What Causes Smelly Brown Discharge?

I've been having Irregular periods and I was having sex with my partner to realize a very foul smell there was brown discharge. at first i thought it was because i was just finishing my period but then a week later we tried again and it was the same thing accept worse it was watery in texture and smelled horrible and was brown. what is happening to me?? I don't have any other sexual partners.
