What Causes Sore And Itchy Nipples And Spotting?

Hello, I went to the doctor today, as I started itching 2 days ago, and my nipples have been sore for 2 weeks, and the doctor said I have a yeast infection, which he prescribed cream and suppositories for. Just today I noticed there is pink on the tissue paper after each time I have used the loo...is this cause for concern? I havent used the treatment yet, as I just picked it up today.
