What Causes Sore And Tender Breasts?

My last period started 9 jan 2011, i had unprotected intercourse with my partner 19 jan, i then took 2 hpt 27 jan and they were negative. Only today my breasts are really soreand tender i have never had this before a period ever before. I am 24 and have a 3 year old .
