What Causes Sore, Red And Tender Toe With History Of Knee Replacement?

Thank you, I recently, July 2014, had a successful knee replacement. Over this last months since, I have had noticed that my middle toe on each foot seems sore, red, and tender in a shoe. It also gets inflamed slightly. I thought maybe this may have something to do with my gate changing from the knee replacement. Any suggestions??
