What Causes Sore Throat After Having Cold Water?

Hi, Everytime I drink cold water or any other fluids, I get a sore throat. So I stopped drinking anything cold since many years, and I only drink warm fluids now. Now I cannot even drink fluids even at room temperature; only warm fluids can pass through my thoat. Is that a problem?
