What Causes Sore Throat Along With Difficulty In Swallowing?

I have had a sore throat for almost a week. It feels like I have a peach pit in the center of my throat. Difficulty swallowing and painful. I also have laryngitis. I had surgery two weeks ago for a deviated septum. Not sure if that has anything to do with this. I ache all over and occasionally cough
