What Causes Sore Throat Along With Dull Pain In Chest?

Hello, I am a 20 year old male. Non-smoker, drug/alcohol-free, healthy, somewhat active and not overweight. Since three days ago, I have been having trouble breathing. It feels like I can t inhale all the way. But since last night, I have had constant dull/sore/numb chest pain on the left side of my body. Above and below my left nipple and also my upper left arm. I have nipple piercings and I try to keep them clean so I don t think it s that. I don t want to think it s a heart attack because I don t have any heart problems. I think it might be pneumonia but I m not sure. I can t go to the doctor or hospital because I live in the middle of nowhere and neither of my parents are home. I don t want to call an ambulance. Is this serious? I took my temperature and it said 97.0 F but I don t think it s accurate. My throat is slightly sore and I coughed mucus only a couple times today. Every time I lay down the pain is worse and it s really difficult to breathe or sleep. I wanted to sleep in but I had to go to work today. How can I be sure that I have pneumonia and is there anything I can do at home? My parents always downplay me and think I m being a hypochondriac so they re not helping. I have no one to take me to the doctor and I really don t want to call 911.
