What Causes Sore Throat, Blocked Nose And Headache?

I have had a cold and cough for about 2 days. I have a blocked nose, headache, sore throat and when i cough, it hurts my stomach. I woke up this morning with wax right on the edge of my ear (my ear was absolutley full). I've already tried paracetamol, but it doesn't work. I don't want to have this over christmas, so should I go to my GP?
