What Causes Sore Throat With Swollen Glands?

Hello, I have had a sore throat for about a week now. It's not over bearingly painfull, but its noticeable. I have also noticed my glands are really swollen. There are no white spots or bumps in my throat. I have had strep numerous times in the past, but this doesn't feel like strep. What could it be?
