What Causes Soreness And Painful Spot On Tonsil?

Hello, on my tonsil there is a flesh coloured little spot/ lump, I m not entirely sure what it is and around the outside in my mouth the sides neare tonsils are a bit red. When I go to eat food/ water it tends to hurt. What is causing this pain and what should I do about the soreness and bump/spot
