What Causes Soreness And Tightness Of Chest?

Dear Doctor,have a sore chest and feeling of tightness in both my chest and between mt shoulder blades.I have had this a few days now and feel like I may have some mucus on my chest. How can I help loosen this phlegm and cough to get it up.? Thank-you Mrs Foord
