What Causes Soreness At The Tip On Penis?

I have a little problem, in the area of my groin there is a tingling ,but it feels more like a virberation, this has been going on for 2 days, on an off. but today all the time, the tip of my penis is a little sore. and No I have not had any kind of sex.(period) in the past 11 years. I will seek my dr next week
