What Causes Soreness In Finger?

I have a little sore on the end of my finger that has been there since August. At first it would bleed when I bumped it hard, but it hasn't bled in months. It is on the part of my fingertip that is the fingerprint, and while it doesn't bleed, it still has hasn't really healed to where it looks these was the rest of my finger. Should I be. Concerned?
