What Causes Soreness On The Left Side Of The Nipple?

my left nipple is sore .i overweight and am losing weight now but need to lose 45 more pounds.i do sleep on my left side all the time and always move around on it.but it tender when i press on it /am 57 years old no lumps,nothing abnormal about color.its just sore to the touch 2 weeks now
