What Causes Sores On Vaginal Area With Burning Sensation?

Hi, I am concerned I may have a vulvar infection. My doctor is on mat leave and there were no female doctors at the walk-in clinic, so I am waiting for another day to see if it improves, but I am still anxious and seeking your medical opinion. I did take a pharmacy vaginal infection screening test (at home): the test was negative for bacterial or parasitic infection and indicated that it was likely a yeast infection, but I have never had such visible symptoms (I am prone to yeast infections). The sores appeared while I was still on my period (I have been traveling, tired and stressed too). I first noticed some smooth bumps. No liquid ever came out of those but some have become sores that whitish in appearance in the cut (unless the cuts just appeared, I am not sure if it went from bump to sore or the sore just appeared and there are also bumps). It is burning and painful, but there is no itching and no vaginal discharge. The vulva is not particularly red nor swollen. The bumps and sores are not looking like blisters at all, nor like warts. They are not in clusters either. Thank you.
