What Causes Spot On Lip?

I have this spot like thing on my lip. I cant tell if its on my lip or just above it, it looks like it is just a spot but i want to get rid of it as soon as possible. Is it a spot and do you have any ways to get rid of it without going and buying something for it? Please help i need it gone soon.
