What Causes Spot On The Cervix?

At my last Annual visit to my OB/Gyn, He found a red spot on my cervix during my exam and took a biopsy. My pap results came back normal. Should I still be worried about the spot he found? I have not heard from him on the results of the biopsy, but I'm still having spotting after sex.
