What Causes Spots And Itching To Return After Treatment With Prednisone?

Hi I'm Baarbara and have been told that I have nervous dermatitis which was treated wiwh 2 courses of prednisone 50mg x 5 days the 1st time and 1 week later s50mg for 5 days tapering to o mg over the next 9 days....in both cases the itch, as advertised, lessened and my skin began healing...almost completely the 2nd time. However, it is now 9 days after prednisone and the spots/itch are returning...with less of a vengenace and in smaller groups of eruptions. I am using CeraVe skin cleanser to shower and CeraVe moiturizing ointment after. In between times, when the itch arises, I use Essiac topically which relieves the itch and seems to heal the red eruptions....plus I am working diligently to stop scratching, rubbing, touching my skin. Is there something else I can do......? I have also been stressed since my mother's death in early Nov/13 and the following probate/issues which are now beginning to resolve.rted knitting again, a hobby i enjoy and listening to music.
