What Causes Spotting After Having HCG Drops?

i have twice tried to start on hcg diet drops, but every time it causes spot bleeding to start immediately. I stopped on saturday, but am still spotting. the link is definitely the hcg drops and it has me worried. i am peri menopausal and the drops trigger this every time
