What Causes Spotting Between Periods After Sex?

Hi. I am vijaya 27 yrs female. After my menstrual cycle we had sex and after the next cyle of 8th day I saw a drop of blood without any severe stomach pain.And i did home test on 10th day, i got negative.Could you please let me know the problem and do i need for somemore time ?
