What Causes Spotting Two Weeks Before The Menstruation Cycle?

I am 21 and my periods are usually regular and on time. I took levonelle, 6 days later I was spotting (2 weeks before my period was due) then after two weeks my period came which was on time. Now i am few days late for my next period. What is going on?
