What Causes Spotting While Not On Contraceptive Pills?

I have got my periods today and it bled only 4 t 5 drops and after that i am getting dust like blood which is again just 5 to 6 drops and its stopped. Please let me know what might be the cause. I am trying to conceive from last one month and has stopped contraceptive pills from last month.
