What Causes Spotting Without The Regular Flow During Menstruation?

Hello! Ok, well i never had my period this month but just an hour ago i started to spot for like a couple of minutes and i took a pregnancy test it came to be negative, and sometimes i only spot in the month without a regular flow. What does it mean? Am i normal? Im also a Teen
